film

So I got a disposable camera while I went to Hong Kong a few months back. My DSLR lens died on me. It was the best I could do,
because I was far too broke to salvage by getting a new camera lens. I was definitely hesitant about using a film camera,
but the shots turned out rather well. Photos below are scanned and entirely unedited.

1. Frequent visits to arab street or 'Fabric Runs' as we call it. Arab street is one at the top of my go-to list when it comes to fabric shopping for school projects and such. Far far far more interesting to shop at than Chinatown.

2. Temple hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city in Bugis. Me and Tim stumbled upon this heartland heaven while being lost that one scorching hot afternoon.

3. Hong Kong ferry rides in the evening would result to catching the most pretty skies you could imagine. Too bad my photography skills were too crap to capture it anyhow. But really, the gentle rocks of the ocean gave each ride to the city a different experience every time.

4. Dim Sum in Hong Kong is nothing compared to dim sum anywhere else, here we see empty plates, half eaten siew mais and untouched liu sha buns that me and Grace gorged that one hungry afternoon. This photo is so bad that its good. Hah!

5. Random street shot of central Hong Kong. I still remembered someone telling me to not waste my films on these 'non photogenic' streets. But it turned out to be one of my favorite shots taken during the trip.

6. Neon lights shine during the wee hours of Hong Kong nights. This was taken near our hotel at about 3am. The grainy effects are from my dusty scanner, but I could care less.

7. Candid of Tim, when we were out running about. I really like it, captures his most natural facial expression. Photo is pasted right by my bed so I wake up to his face each day.

One easiest get-up for me would be the old over sized tee and some boots (or whatever goes). You will catch me in such an outfit when: 1) I'm running late, 2) School submission weeks, 3) Laundry days HAHA, because it is just so easy!

Always had a soft spot for simple designs, they are just way easier to pair up with anything. This black tshirt is from Deathly High Clothing. Chanced upon the brand when Tim was shopping randomly online.

You might call it fate, because I fell in love with every design that was sold there! Check them out! (link is below).
But I had to limit myself, and ended up only with this. Luckily (or sadly) the shipping costs for Singapore kept me under control or I would've squandered all of my $$$ over at the site.

Loving Deathly High to death heh!
So deathly if you're reading this, PLEASE SEND ME SOME SHIRTS I WOULD BE SOOOOO HAPPY. Hahaha I'm kidding, but no seriously

officially finished

HAI!!!!!
After hours of mindless coding and editing and drawing, this space is finally up again!
Here's to a legitimate revamp of the dusty old blog! *clink*
I will be more active now, expect updates each week,
new photos, new adventures (hopefully).

Also, do try out the working links on the side!
Blog is still undergoing some rather minor changes here and there
(currently working on a more dynamic blog banner), please be patient with me.
Also, I will be updating my online store to sell out
my (mostly unworn) clothes very soon!
Keep a look out for this space!

thieves market galore

Thieves market down at sungei road sure was a sight to see. Crowded and scorching hot, the place was filled with old uncles on worn out stools, and Bangladesh workers in little swarms.

As uncomfortable as it may sound, it was a pleasant trip. I guess the massive amounts of priceless junk made up for it. However, you have to come prepared to get down and dirty, ready to dig even in the oldest box of 'goodies' to find something nice.

I have been wanting to go there for a while now, was honestly expecting more buy-worthy things while I was there, but it's alright at least I managed to snap a few shots of this cheerful place. Some of these people here don't like to be photographed, so do keep in mind to ask or be extra sneaky.

Place wasn't big, just a small segment of the road was blocked off for the market. But I say, go have a look anyway, check out how insane those bins are filled to the brim with our daily necessities, and many other olden days accessories as well.

Errand runnin, got myself some yummy art materials to start on several shit I've got planned this holiday! Cannot wait to start on them, I'm passing each day excitedly because ideas are just bumping about in my head.

Always been the type to have a whole rainbow full of dramatic and insane ideas, but be too lazy to lift a finger to get anything started at all. That has been me, all my life. But this holiday will see the change, because I haven't got time to lose!

Hopefully, I get everything I've had my mind set on doing, that'd be nice.
Watch this space, more to come! Cannot wait
