Found this forgotten body-con dress sitting awkwardly in one corner of my wardrobe and decided there and then that it will bring me luck for my portfolio review that day. Paired it with a blue blazer and my Coach tote that saw light for the first time (finally). Wore some old brogues that I thrifted online, a simple and easy getup that I came up with in 10 minutes because I woke up late.

Turned out that the 'lucky' dress worked! I was surprised at how well the portfolio review went. I'm glad that I am no longer that 'too chill for school' Ellie, grateful that my lecturers are actually seeing a change in me. It meant more than I thought it would, for a good 5 seconds back there I thought I wanted to cry. But happy tears of course because I was happy that I've changed.
Changed for the better, and I will continue to be better and work harder. And maybe then, I can be more sure of myself and be more confident that my future is actually not too dark. Maybe not dark at all.
